European Cities & Villages
This ongoing series explores moments of quiet transition within European cities and villages — most often at dusk, when the pace of the day slows and spaces become reflective.
Inspired by travel, memory, and imagination, these paintings focus on the subtle intersection of place and presence: café windows glowing after rain, canal waters holding the last light of evening, village streets settling into night. Human life is suggested rather than described, allowing viewers to bring their own stories into the scene.
Together, the works form a meditation on atmosphere, passage, and the shared experience of place — familiar yet personal, observed in moments when the world feels briefly suspended.
Most Recent Addition: Annecy, France
In this piece, the village reveals itself through light rather than detail.
Color and reflection carry the experience—warm facades meeting the cool surface of the water, held together by the quiet rhythm of the bridge.
Human presence is subtle, almost passing. The emphasis remains on atmosphere—on that moment when architecture, landscape, and light briefly come into alignment.
Annecy extends the series’ exploration of place not as location alone, but as felt experience—where memory, movement, and light converge.
This series continues to grow as new locations and moments are explored.
