About the Artist
I am a professional artist creating original paintings that explore how we move through place, memory, and change.
My work is shaped by decades of lived experience and by a deep respect for craftsmanship, honesty, and beauty. I am drawn to moments of transition—where structure gives way to openness, where light reveals more than description, and where a place can be felt as much as seen.
Working in acrylic, oil, and mixed media, I build paintings slowly and intentionally. I am less interested in illustration than in experience: the atmosphere of a village at dusk, the presence held in a doorway, the sense that something important is continuing just beyond what can be fully explained.
I believe art can help us pause, reflect, and reconnect—not only with what we see, but with what we know more quietly through memory, feeling, and lived experience.
Background
I am currently completing the Mastery Program with the Milan Art Institute, continuing to refine my skills in mixed media, acrylic, and oil painting while building a sustainable professional studio practice.
Before fully turning toward painting, I spent many years in professional work shaped by learning, observation, and systems thinking. That background still informs my art. I pay close attention to structure, relationships, and the way parts come together to create meaning.
Purpose
My purpose is to create work that brings beauty, reflection, and quiet optimism into people’s lives.
Not optimism based on certainty, but on continuation—on the sense that something meaningful remains possible, even in times of change.
Through light, atmosphere, and structure, I hope to create paintings that feel both personal and open: rooted in my own experience, yet spacious enough for others to enter with their own.
When I’m not painting, I spend time with family, continue learning, and reflect on the role creativity plays in a meaningful life. The studio remains a place of discipline, curiosity, and discovery.
I invite you to explore the gallery and follow this ongoing body of work.
