Beyond the Thresholds

Beyond the Thresholds is a 30 x 40 inch mixed media painting that extends the exploration of passage into lived space.

What begins as a series of defined doorways becomes something less contained. The viewer moves through each threshold—past memory, through formation, and into an open landscape shaped by light and experience.

The architectural frames remain, but their role shifts. They no longer hold the moment. They release it.

The figure is present, but not fixed. Movement continues. The landscape opens.

What lies ahead is not fully defined—only felt.

This work marks a transition from observing change to inhabiting it.
